![]() Going into the studio...
Yay! Thanks to all who have contributed so far. I'm heading into the studio tomorrow to start recording. Yip yahoo! First up is drums and bass.
Which means, I could still use a few more bucks, as I'll need to start paying for musicians and studio time. Chip in what you can!! For now, here's a video of the first meeting with my producer: ![]() The song...
Here's a video that Osiris shot 2 days after the song was completed! Filmed at Breitenbush Hot Springs on 2/15/10. Scroll down for more deetz on the project...
![]() Taking the leap...
My creative guru, Julia Cameron, had this advice in her bestselling book:
"Leap and the net will appear" Well, I'm leaping. I'm listening. I'm trusting all the signs that have pointed and screamed "HEY, MAKE MUSIC!" It was February, 2010 when the message grew louder. I had just performed a new song called "Welcome Home" at the Breitenbush Radical Faerie Gathering... and an amazing thing happened. The song struck a chord with people. It reflected something core to their experience. It made them cry. And that my friends, is my deepest compliment as a songwriter. Things took off from there. People wanted the song. In their iPods. In their films. At gigs in their cities. At live performances at their parties. Umm.... WOW! Never before have I received such a response! So, I'm giving it to them. That's where you come in. I've been unemployed since 12/07, which is a large part of what's stunted my music career. So, I need some financial assistance to help manifest this vision! If you want to help get "Welcome Home" into the world, you can donate a few bucks right here on this page. Whether you have $5 or $500, any bit will help! The money will go towards:
Thank you all, for your support on this journey. It means more to me (and my sensitive inner artist) than you could possibly know. Hugs n sparkles... Ry |
